Conga laid off 11% of its staff in June 2020 following the $715 million Thoma Bravo-backed merger with Apttus. The layoffs affected employees primarily in Professional Services, Customer Success, Sales, and Sales Engineering. By 2021, 40% of Conga's global workforce (725 employees) was based in India, representing 75% of its engineering team, as the company shifted operations offshore after the deal closed.

Following the Thoma Bravo-backed Apttus merger in May 2020, Conga underwent significant leadership and workforce changes. The entire executive board was replaced within a year. By August 2021, the company had shifted 75% of its engineering work to India, where it employed 725 people—40% of its global workforce. In September 2025, Thoma Bravo announced plans to combine Conga with PROS B2B assets as part of the $1.4 billion PROS acquisition.
