In October 2025, Stream launched Vision Agents, the first open-source, open-platform SDK for real-time video and audio AI intelligence. CEO Thierry Schellenbach stated: "We built the opposite [of voice-first]: a video-first foundation that's open, extensible, and developer-friendly." The SDK supports OpenAI Realtime, Google Gemini, and custom models. Use cases include accessibility features (captions, descriptions), manufacturing defect detection, and AI note-taking.

Stream supports a global remote team with flexibility across regions. The company offers Remote (EU) or Amsterdam options for European positions. Netherlands-based employees within 60km of the Amsterdam office work hybrid (3 days in-office).
