Supercell reduced staff in its North American studios since late 2025, with Steve Desilets (co-founder of a U.S. branch) confirming the company "decided to cancel the game his studio was working on and disband the project team." Separately, after fully acquiring Space Ape (150 employees) in November 2024, approximately 70 staff joined Supercell London while 30 were laid off in February 2025. Metacore (acquired by Supercell in May 2026) also laid off 159 employees, closing German and Swedish offices.

Supercell continued sponsoring Helsinki Pride for the fourth consecutive year in 2025 through the Better Games Together collective (with Rovio, Metacore, Next Games, and nonprofit We in Games). The company participated in the Pride March on June 28, 2025 with a dedicated truck and walking contingent. Over 53% of Supercell's Helsinki employees come from international backgrounds across 45+ nationalities. At GDC 2025, Supercell presented "Is Diversity a Dirty Word in 2025? Supercell's 4-Pillar Approach to DEI," stating they are "committed to addressing these challenges head-on, not with empty promises, but by candidly sharing both our progress and our setbacks."
When closing Space Ape after the November 2024 acquisition, Supercell worked to minimize layoffs by offering roles across affiliated companies. Games Chrome Valley Customs and Fastlane were spun to Offroad Games (new startup with 10-12 former staff), Transformers: Earth Wars went to publisher Yodo1 with ~10 staff, and ~30 employees had previously joined NextBeat. Supercell emphasized working "to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible." The company reported €2.65 billion revenue and €932 million operating income in 2025.
