Warburg Pincus itself grew headcount 13.6% in 2025 to over 10,000 employees and increased active job postings 108% year-over-year. However, Warburg Pincus-backed SaaS company Whatfix laid off 60-80 employees (6% of workforce) in 2024, primarily in sales and marketing, citing slowing growth as AI adoption disrupted its digital adoption platform market. Whatfix stated the cuts were to "better align our go-to-market with the strong traction we are seeing in our AI-first product lines."
