In May 2026, Index Ventures co-founder Neil Rimer publicly stated at the Panathenea tech festival in Athens that AI-generated wealth must be redistributed: "I have a strong sense that there will be some sort of a redistribution. It'll either be voluntary or it'll be involuntary, but it'll happen, and I hope it's voluntary."
